Alternativa3D

Alternativa3D is intended for displaying 3D graphics in the Flash Player environment. The possibilities with Alternativa3D are comprehensive and diverse. The technology is widely used in different spheres ranging from 3D websites to multiplayer browser games and applications for social networks in full 3D. It operates with all popular OS and platforms, including PC, notebooks, netbooks and mobile platforms (i.e. Android).
Main features:
  • High performance : GPU rendering. Allows the display of about 3 millions of polygons.
  • Lighting system : Point, directional and spot light sources. Efficient hierarchical culling of unlit objects. Each object can be lighted by six light sources simultaneously.
  • Advanced materials : Allows the use of fully dynamic lighting with normal map, specular map, glossy map, or more lightweight materials - with baked light.
  • Character drawing : The powerful hierarchic animation blending system. Character models of any complexity without bone quantity limit.
  • Transparent objects : Sorting and proper display of transparent objects.
  • 3D Sprites : Point objects are always facing the camera.
  • Interactivity : Uses mouse events similar to those used in Flash. The system takes into account hierarchy and options of containers. Optimized to work with high-poly models.
  • Optimized textures for the GPU : The support of compressed texture format ATF (Adobe Texture Format) reduces the amount of video memory in use. It is especially important for mobile devices.
  • High capacity data format : Special binary format reduces the amount of data required for sending over the network, and speeds up scene loading in the engine. You can export models to this format right form 3DS Max, using special plug-in.

UNetbootin-Live Linux USB Creator

UNetbootin is a Live USB creation tool that can be used to create a Live Linux USB flash drive from an ISO. Many Linux distributions are supported out of the box with custom install options available for Linux distributions that are not. It is important to mention that Live Linux USB flash drives created with this tool, do not currently utilize a persistence feature. The resulting USB Linux install will function just as it does from a CD. By default you will not be able to save and restore your changes.UNetbootin was created by Geza Kovacs, released under GNU GPL v2.
How to use UNetbootin to create a Live Linux USB flash drive:
The following assumes your working from within Windows and have a current copy of the ISO you wish to convert.
  1. Download UNetBootin for Windows
  2. Download your favorite Linux ISO
  3. Double click the Unetbootin Executable to start the program
    (1) Click the Diskimage radio box
    (2) browse to select your ISO
    (3) Set your target USB drive
    (4) click OK to start the creation
  4. Once the UNetbootin installer has completed, click Reboot Now
  5. Set your system BIOS or boot menu to boot from the USB device and enjoy your favorite Live Linux on USB

YUMI-Multiboot USB Creator

YUMI (Your Universal Multiboot Installer), is the successor to our MultibootISOs. It can be used to create a Multiboot USB Flash Drive containing multiple operating systems, antivirus utilities, disc cloning, diagnostic tools, and more. Contrary to MultiBootISOs which used grub to boot ISO files directly from USB, YUMI uses syslinux to boot extracted distributions stored on the USB device, and reverts to using grub to Boot Multiple ISO files from USB, if necessary.Aside from a few distributions, all files are stored within the Multiboot or yumi folder (depending on version), making for a nicely organized Multiboot USB Drive that can still be used for other storage purposes. YUMI works much like Universal USB Installer, except it can be used to install more than one distribution to run from your USB. Distributions can also be uninstalled using the same tool!

Wine

Wine enables Linux, Mac, FreeBSD, and Solaris users to run Windows applications without a copy of Microsoft Windows. Wine is a free and open source software application that aims to allow applications designed for Microsoft Windows to run on Unix-like operating systems. Wine is free software under constant development. Other platforms may benefit as well. Wine for Windows would supply useful backward compatibility for users. The name Wine initially was an acronym for WINdows Emulator. Its meaning later shifted to the recursive backronym, Wine Is Not an Emulator in order to differentiate the software from other emulators. Wine is a compatibility layer. It duplicates functions of Windows by providing alternative implementations of the DLLs that Windows programs call, and a process to substitute for the Windows NT kernel. This method of duplication differs from other methods that might also be considered emulation, where Windows programs run in a virtual machine. Wine is predominantly written using black-box testing reverse-engineering.

Kali Linux

Kali Linux is the new generation of the industry-leading BackTrack Linux penetration testing and security auditing Linux distribution. Kali Linux is a complete re-build of BackTrack from the ground up, adhering completely to Debian development standards.

Kali Linux Features:

All-new infrastructure has been put in place, all tools were reviewed and packaged, and they use Git for our VCS.

  • More than 300 penetration testing tools: After reviewing every tool that was included in BackTrack, they eliminated a great number of tools that either did not work or had other tools available that provided similar functionality.
  • Free and always will be: Kali Linux, like its predecessor, is completely free and always will be. You will never, ever have to pay for Kali Linux.
  • Open source Git tree: They are huge proponents of open source software and their development tree is available for all to see and all sources are available for those who wish to tweak and rebuild packages.
  • FHS compliant: Kali has been developed to adhere to the Filesystem Hierarchy Standard, allowing all Linux users to easily locate binaries, support files, libraries, etc.
  • Vast wireless device support: They have built Kali Linux to support as many wireless devices as they possibly can, allowing it to run properly on a wide variety of hardware and making it compatible with numerous USB and other wireless devices.
  • Custom kernel patched for injection: As penetration testers, the development team often needs to do wireless assessments so our kernel has the latest injection patches included.
  • Secure development environment: The Kali Linux team is made up of a small group of trusted individuals who can only commit packages and interact with the repositories while using multiple secure protocols.
  • GPG signed packages and repos: All Kali packages are signed by each individual developer when they are built and committed and the repositories subsequently sign the packages as well.
  • Multi-language: Although pentesting tools tend to be written in English, they have ensured that Kali has true multilingual support, allowing more users to operate in their native language and locate the tools they need for the job.
  • Completely customizable: They completely understand that not everyone will agree with our design decisions so they have made it as easy as possible for our more adventurous users to customize Kali Linux to their liking, all the way down to the kernel.
  • ARMEL and ARMHF support: Since ARM-based systems are becoming more and more prevalent and inexpensive, they knew that Kali’s ARM support would need to be as robust as they could manage, resulting in working installations for both ARMEL and ARMHF systems. Kali Linux has ARM repositories integrated with the mainline distribution so tools for ARM will be updated in conjunction with the rest of the distribution. Kali is currently available for the following ARM devices:
    • rk3306 mk/ss808
    • Raspberry Pi
    • ODROID U2/X2
    • Samsung Chromebook
